I love Trader Joe’s because of its high-quality products, low price points, and commitment to customer service. They carry a great selection of sparkling mineral water from around the world, including Italy and Germany, and I always pick up a bottle (or two or three) during my shopping trips.
Now, Trader Joe’s announced a recall of more than 60,000 bottles of Gerolsteiner Sparkling Natural Mineral Water due to the potential for cracked or damaged bottles. The recall was issued on March 12, 2025, after the supplier notified Trader Joe’s. I immediately ran to check my pantry, and you should, too.
The sparkling water was distributed to Trader Joe’s stores from December 27, 2024, to January 28, 2024, in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.

What To Do if You Have the Recalled Product at Home
Currently, customers haven’t reported any injuries or damaged bottles. The issue was identified by research related to bottle breakage during production, potentially affecting 1% of bottles in the above lot codes. You should immediately (and carefully) dispose of recalled bottles and go to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund.
