Over 197,000 Cans of Green Beans Recalled Due to Potential Contamination

Del Monte Foods, Inc. voluntarily recalled over 197,000 cans of cut green beans sold in over 20 states. The cans were recalled due to potential contamination with a foreign object, a Class II event. This Food and Drug Administration (FDA) classification indicates a low probability of serious health consequences but a potential for temporary or reversible effects.

The green beans were sold under the brand name Good and Gather exclusively at Target stores in 21 states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin.
