The beginnings of his foodie status go much further back to 1996, when the movie <em>Big Night<strong> <\/strong><\/em>provided the first inklings of his obsession with Italian cooking. Over a decade later, he followed up his performance in 2009\u2019s <em>Julie &amp; Julia<\/em> with two of his own cookbooks.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_3-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> More recently, Tucci went viral for his shaken Negroni, and he\u2019s since hosted two seasons of a food and travel show, \u201cSearching for Italy,\u201d on CNN. But I\u2019ve always been a fan of his charming home videos. One of them caught my eye when I was looking back at his Instagram from last spring, when he made a delicious-looking scramble of eggs, spinach, and mushrooms topped with freshly grated \u201cParmigiana,\u201d as he likes to say with a twinkle in his eye.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_5-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> He only shows the finished scramble all plated up and ready to be scooped onto bread for sandwiches, but it\u2019s such a straightforward dish that I didn\u2019t have any worries about replicating it on my own stove without a recipe.\n<\/p>\n<p><iframe id=\"mntl-sc-block_7-0-iframe\" class=\"mntl-sc-block-embed--iframe lazyload\" allowfullscreen=\"false\" frameborder=\"0\" sandbox=\"allow-forms allow-popups allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox allow-same-origin allow-scripts allow-top-navigation-by-user-activation\" title=\"Stanley Tucci's Scrambled Eggs With Spinach and Mushrooms\" data-expand=\"300\" data-src=\"\/embed?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.instagram.com%2Freel%2FC5GM1f4IRki%2F%3Futm_source%3Dig_embed%26ig_rid%3D55d22e51-2cad-4240-be7a-b85e5b626428&amp;id=mntl-sc-block_7-0-iframe&amp;options=e30%3D&amp;docId=11703496\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"heading-toc\" id=\"toc-how-to-make-stanley-tuccis-scrambled-eggs\"\/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mntl-sc-block_9-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block lifestyle-sc-block-heading mntl-sc-block-heading\"> <span class=\"mntl-sc-block-heading__text\"> How To Make Stanley Tucci\u2019s Scrambled Eggs <\/span> <\/h2>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_10-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> Eggs, spinach, and mushrooms are all included in one of my childhood favorite dishes, Joe\u2019s Special, so I knew right away that I was going to enjoy this similar but simpler scramble. I started by heating some olive oil and butter in a large skillet and saut\u00e9ing sliced cremini mushrooms, as well as beech mushrooms separated out into single stems.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_12-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> Once they were browned, I removed them from the pan, added more olive oil and butter, and quickly wilted a few handfuls of baby spinach. Finally, reserving the spinach on a plate, I added\u2014you guessed it\u2014more olive oil and butter, and gently scrambled some eggs. I seasoned each component as I went with salt to taste.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_14-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> Once the eggs were just cooked, I tossed the mushrooms and spinach back into the skillet and gently folded everything together. On top of crunchy, toasted bread, it was a slam-dunk of a lunch. I\u2019d absolutely make it again\u2014for lunch, brunch, or even dinner, paired with a glass of wine.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_20-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> So as it turns out, Stanley Tucci\u2019s recipes are refined, yet casual, composed yet effortless in appearance, kind of like him!
