We\u2019re what you might call \u201ca sandwich household.\u201d Everyone enjoys at least one daily, often on slices of sourdough or whole wheat bread. The bread is an important part of our sandwiches, and we\u2019ve got our favorites, but when I saw Trader Joe\u2019s new sandwich rolls, I knew they would meet our high bread standards. It\u2019s been a month since I first grabbed a bag, and I\u2019ve bought a new one each week because they\u2019re our new favorite for sandwiches.\u00a0\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

    Why I Love Trader Joe\u2019s Sandwich Rolls <\/span> <\/h2>\n

    The rolls come in bags of four, which is why we blow through them so fast, but besides that inconvenience, we love them. They\u2019re about the size of a sub roll and shaped like a bloated football, which somehow makes them more enjoyable and fun to eat than sliced bread.\n<\/p>\n

    The roll is soft with a lofty, airy interior, but not so much that you have to break your jaw to get your mouth around it. It\u2019s also sturdy and strong enough to hold all of the meat, cheese, veggies, and dressings without it falling apart as you eat it. And it tastes awesome\u2014like bakery-style bread!\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

    How I Use Trader Joe\u2019s Sandwich Rolls <\/span> <\/h2>\n

    Trader Joe\u2019s sandwich rolls are a great all-purpose roll. I\u2019ve used them to make the usual meat-and-cheese sandwich, but also messier ones like BBQ pulled pork and French dips. If you like bahn m\u00ec, these rolls make a great base. You can use them for creamy chicken or tuna salad, or a broiled tomato and cheddar.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

    They also make great little pizzas! I slice them in half lengthwise, cover them with sauce and toppings, and bake until the cheese is nice and melted. If you somehow don\u2019t eat them before they\u2019ve gotten stale, you can slice them into cubes and turn them into delicious croutons.\n<\/p>\n

    As for storage, I keep my rolls on the countertop, stored in the bag they came in, and sealed with the twist tie. They never last more than a day in my house, so I don\u2019t have to worry about them going stale or getting moldy, but if you don\u2019t plan on enjoying your rolls within three days, I recommend freezing them.\n<\/p>\n

    Just remove any air from the bag, seal it, and then toss it in your freezer. An hour before you\u2019re ready for a delicious sandwich, remove what you need and let it thaw on the countertop. I see great sandwiches in your future!\n<\/p>\n
