This week, one major recall was reclassified, and another was initiated. Make sure to rid your pantry and freezers of these two recalled items.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n On January 17, the United States Food & Drug Association (FDA) reclassified an existing recall for Horizon Organic Aseptic Plain Whole Milk, first initiated by the FDA on December 13, 2024.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n The agency reclassified it to a Class II recall for unspecified reasons.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n Recalls are categorized by three different levels. A class II recall is issued when, \u201ca situation in which use of, or exposure to, a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote,\u201d the FDA states.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n Horizon released the following update on January 28: \u201cThis voluntary recall is not related to an allergen, microorganism, or any pathogen contamination. It has been determined that heat damage to the milk during processing affected milk properties and is the primary cause for the premature product spoilage.\u201d\n<\/p>\n Simply Recipes \/ Horizon\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/span> Product: <\/strong>8-ounce, 12-pack cartons of Horizon Organic Aseptic Plain Whole Milk As of January 31, there have been no reports of people getting sick after consuming the milk. If you purchased milk with the above best-by dates, return it to the store you bought it from. It was found that the frozen item may contain bone fragments. Wegmans received several complaints from customers who found bone fragments in the product.\n<\/p>\n Product:<\/strong> 46-ounce plastic packages of Wegmans Family Packed Fully Cooked Breaded Chicken Breast with Rib Meat As of January 31, no one has been injured due to eating these nuggets. While the product is no longer available for purchase at Wegmans, the FSIS is concerned that many people may still have this product in their freezers. If you do, toss the product out immediately and go to your grocer for a refund.
