There was an olive tapenade, a roasted garlic hummus, and my absolute favorite, a whipped feta dip. It was made by blending locally-produced feta with heavy cream and olive oil. The result was a creamy, briny dip that tasted perfect on just about everything.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_5-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> It was so popular that the restaurant began selling it at local grocery stores. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon a version of my favorite dip during a recent trip to Trader Joe\u2019s. It\u2019s wonderful when enjoyed as a dip with crudit\u00e9s or as a topping for eggs, pizza, sandwiches, and more.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span class=\"heading-toc\" id=\"toc-why-i-love-trader-joes-whipped-feta-spread\"\/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mntl-sc-block_9-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block lifestyle-sc-block-heading mntl-sc-block-heading\"> <span class=\"mntl-sc-block-heading__text\"> Why I Love Trader Joe\u2019s Whipped Feta Spread <\/span> <\/h2>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_10-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> After a quick review of the ingredients, which seemed small and straightforward, I hastily ripped off the lid. It looked smooth and creamy, and exactly like my favorite dip, but how did it taste? I swiped a carrot stick through, admiring the texture again before giving it a try. It was really good\u2014as good as what I made at the restaurant!\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_12-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> The texture was as velvety-smooth as it looked and the flavor didn\u2019t disappoint. It was creamy, sharp, and salty, but not excessively so. I kept scooping and enjoying, dreaming of ways I could use it, and before I realized it, I\u2019d eaten half the container. I used it as a spread for sandwiches and as a topping for scrambled eggs. And it didn\u2019t stop there.\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"heading-toc\" id=\"toc-ways-to-use-trader-joes-whipped-feta-spread\"\/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mntl-sc-block_14-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block lifestyle-sc-block-heading mntl-sc-block-heading\"> <span class=\"mntl-sc-block-heading__text\"> Ways To Use Trader Joe\u2019s Whipped Feta Spread <\/span> <\/h2>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_15-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> If you\u2019re into salty and briny stuff, then you\u2019ll love this spread. As I mentioned, there are plenty of fun ways to use it, even if it\u2019s as simple as adding it to your favorite sandwich or salad. Here are a few more ideas:\n<\/p>\n<ul id=\"mntl-sc-block_17-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">\n<li><strong>Top a pizza.<\/strong> I like adding dollops on top of my pizza before (and even after) baking in place of crumbled feta.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Add it to pasta.<\/strong> Add 1\/4 cup or so to a fresh tomato-based pasta dish for a bit of salty seasoning.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stuff it into a potato.<\/strong> Baked potatoes taste better with a tablespoon of whipped feta! It\u2019s also a delicious topping for smashed potatoes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Invite it to the egg party. <\/strong>I mentioned adding it to scrambled eggs, but it\u2019s also delicious with fried or poached eggs.
