It\u2019s not a unique statement to say that ice cream is delicious. We may not agree on much these days, but we can agree that ice cream is a perfect food. So when Ben & Jerry\u2019s released their new product line, Sundaes, I was excited to try them.\n<\/p>\n
I am always excited to try new ice cream creations, but I wasn\u2019t expecting my mind to be blown.\n<\/p>\n
Price:<\/strong> $5.49 for 1 pint <\/p>\n Before I start telling you why you need to run to the supermarket and buy a pint to try for yourself, let me first start by describing the pint to you. The Cookie Vermont-ster Sundae that I tried had a whipped topping swirled with fudge and sprinkled with fudge chips. This is all before you get to the vanilla and cookie ice cream with chocolate cookie swirls underneath. Sounds delicious, right?\n<\/p>\n It absolutely is. But the reason why I am writing 300-plus words about this pint is not just because it tastes delicious. What made me fall in love with this ice cream was all of the textures.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Even though you are pulling that Sundae pint straight out of the freezer, the whipped topping is so soft and the fudge is so gooey and melty that you would think it was layered on just before you opened the lid. Because all of these textures are exactly what you want them to be, it tastes more decadent, more elevated, than you’d expect \u2014 like a scoop shop employee just made it fresh for you.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n I don\u2019t know how Ben & Jerry\u2019s was able to pull this off and why the entire thing doesn\u2019t freeze solid, but the fact that only the ice cream is truly frozen is what makes this dessert so great. You don\u2019t have to fight your spoon because the pint has frozen into a solid ice block and you are too impatient to let it thaw out a bit. This gives the illusion of freshness, even though you pulled it out of your freezer. Basically, it\u2019s ice cream sorcery.\n<\/p>\n A word of caution: You will most certainly, just like with all Ben & Jerry\u2019s pints, not be able to limit yourself to just the serving size. You will eat this entire pint in one sitting. Just accept that, don\u2019t fight it. I had every intention of eating just a few bites when I settled in with my boyfriend to watch an episode of \u201cLove Island\u201d after dinner, but we ate that entire pint in one sitting. Of course we did.\n<\/p>\n As someone who feels passionately that we all deserve at least one sweet treat a day, I need you to add one of the Ben & Jerry\u2019s Sundae flavors to your grocery list this week. They\u2019re found at grocery stores nationwide, including Kroger.
