I’ve always had a soft spot for beautiful home organization tools and high-end storage containers, but I can rarely justify the splurge. So when I first spotted Dollar Tree\u2019s gold-trimmed vanity organizers on social media, I immediately made a plan to stop by. At just $1.25 each, they look nearly identical to versions I’ve seen for $14 or more. I picked up one. And then a second. It helps organize kitchen and pantry essentials like baking supplies, spices, and small treats and looks stylish at the same time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/p>\n While these canisters are marketed for bathroom storage, they’ve become my new favorite kitchen organization tool. The ribbed acrylic design, gold trim, and lid add a touch of sophistication to my kitchen counters and pantry shelves. I appreciate that they look like glass but are lighter and more durable and, as a result, (theoretically) less likely to shatter when my kids inevitably knock them over.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n The clear plastic lets me see what’s inside, plus the lid keeps everything neat and protected. Even though they’re designed for items like cotton swabs, they’re great for holding dried herbs, spices, candy, and so much more.\n<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In my kitchen, they\u2019ve been particularly helpful for organizing our random drink powders. My husband is an amateur athlete, and he takes a lot of supplements to support his training. The drink powders typically come in large zip-top bags or plastic containers, and whenever we open them, the powders puff out everywhere and make a mess.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n To fix this, I transferred protein powder into one canister, greens powder into another, and individually wrapped electrolyte mixes into another while relegating the big packages to the pantry. This small change means no more fumbling with inconvenient bags and cleaning up the daily powder spills. And I\u2019m thrilled at how charming they look lined up together on a wooden tray on my counter.\n<\/p>\n Beyond the possibly unrelatable and ridiculous demands of our drink powders, I can see myself using them in many other ways. In my pantry, for example, they’d be perfect for storing everything from bouillon cubes to small baking supplies like sprinkles, chocolate chips, and cinnamon sticks. They\u2019re also ideal for displaying cocktail essentials, like picks and drink garnishes. They\u2019d make pretty holders for small appetizer forks or dessert spoons and would look chic filled with wrapped chocolates or homemade truffles.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n Finally, since my daughter requested a “candy bar” for an upcoming party, I plan to surprise her by filling a few jars with our favorite snacks, like freeze-dried strawberries and other Trader Joe\u2019s gems (Yes, I’m going for “Mom of the Year” with that one!).
