Every so often, one of my favorite stores stops making one of my favorite products. That happened to me at Trader Joe\u2019s recently. I was shopping and could not find my go-to balsamic rosemary grilled chicken anywhere when an employee broke the bad news. \u201cI think they stopped making it a month ago,\u201d he told me. \u201cI think people were afraid of the rosemary.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
Fortunately, in the same refrigerator case where I normally found my favorite chicken, there was a similar, new-to-me product: lemon pepper chicken.\n<\/p>\n Simply Recipes \/ Jeanette Hurt<\/p>\n <\/span> Price:<\/strong> $7.99 for a 12-ounce package<\/p>\n Why I Love It:<\/strong> This ready-to-eat grilled chicken is juicy, delicious, and convenient. I love how versatile the flavor is and add it to sandwiches, pasta, and soups when I\u2019m in a hurry.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/p>\n Just like my former favorite, this deli selection starts with a hefty grilled chicken breast. But instead of being marinated in balsamic vinegar and fresh rosemary, this one is marinated in lemon juice, and seasoned with sea salt and black pepper. It\u2019s garnished with a slice of fresh lemon.\n<\/p>\n The juicy chicken breast tastes of grilled, lemony goodness with a kick of black pepper. The pepper isn\u2019t overpowering, and if you like citrus, you\u2019ll love this combination. A 12-ounce chicken breast costs $7.99 and, according to the package, it contains four three-ounce servings. Realistically, it serves two to three people (or one teenage boy).\n<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I love the convenience of this chicken. My son will easily eat it straight out of the package if he\u2019s trying to pack in some protein before a volleyball tournament or if he needs a snack before dinner.\n<\/p>\n I love slicing the chicken and tossing it on top of a salad if I need a quick, healthy lunch. In a pinch, I\u2019ve chopped it up to make a chicken salad sandwich\u2014it tastes especially good on croissants.\n<\/p>\n There are tons of dinner possibilities, too. You can warm it up and serve the chicken with roasted veggies and a starch for a healthy yet supremely easy meal. I have added it to pasta and used it on barbecue chicken pizza. I\u2019ve even topped it with some marinara and some cheese to make chicken Parm in my air fryer.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n It\u2019s also a great soup shortcut. I\u2019ve added the chicken to some saut\u00e9ed veggies and stock to create a quick and filling chicken soup.
